About the Sculpture

The cross has been a favorite of mine as a subject. It is one of the most familiar iconic symbols of all times. At the same time that it represents sacrifice, suffering and death, it also symbolizes freedom, liberty, and redemption. The significance and symbolism behind this piece is thus. The old rusted metal bolt template signifies the sins of mankind, and it is covered by the glorious brilliance of the cross.
